FAQ’s

We’re not sure about having a videographer at our wedding, will you be intrusive on our guests?
Not at all, I like to approach each wedding by blending in and capturing the fun, romance and natural atmosphere of the day. I generally find that people don’t like being filmed, so when you capture their natural reactions it looks much better on screen.

Do you film by yourself or do you have a crew?
I generally work alone on my wedding films although you do have the option to add a second videographer if you wish. When I’m by myself I always manage just as well to set up and capture the wedding, but having a second videographer is extra reassurance and allows for an extra angle throughout the day.

Do you do any staged shots or poses?
This really all depends on a few factors – the couple, the location and the weather. If I see a particular opportunity for a romantic scene that will fit in with your wedding video, I may ask you to pose for me but rest assured it will only be for the happy couple

What about the music for our film.
We carefully select music that fits in with your unique wedding story. All the music we use is licensed for our wedding films, but sometimes we may use music from your ceremony or reception depending on how well it will fit in.

Do you film same sex weddings?
Yes absolutely! We are more than happy to cater for all weddings across the island of Ireland.

What equipment do you use? do you have a backup option? We currently film with 3-4 Panasonic dslr cameras and a range of different focal lenses. Most of the day I will only be using one camera by myself, but up to 3 can be used during the ceremony and speeches so there is always an angle covered with a camera to spare! We also record audio from different sources – lecturn, speaker, microphone, etc. to ensure the best quality audio is captured too.

Do you charge extra for travel?
I love to travel all over Ireland and Northern Ireland for my wedding videography work. I do not include travel charges but I may request an overnight stay in a nearby hotel or B&B before the wedding night (nothing too fancy!). Please let me know in the contact form.

How long does it take to edit and deliver?
We like to carefully edit and deliver each wedding one at a time and this process can take a lot of time to complete. Usual wait times are between 4-6 weeks but during the busy summer months it can up to 3 months. but don’t worry, your wedding video will be worth the wait!
